Udawalawa

About

Udawalawe National Park is a renowned wildlife reserve in Sri Lanka, especially famous for its population of Sri Lankan elephants, which can be seen at any time of the day. This park, located on the plains beneath the southern escarpment of the hill country, has become one of the country's most popular national parks due to its approximately 500 resident elephants.

In addition to elephants, Udawalawe National Park is home to a variety of other wildlife. The park's diverse ecosystems, ranging from grasslands to forests, support this wide range of species, making Udawalawe a significant destination for wildlife enthusiasts visiting Sri Lanka.
